The underdog Li Na was no match for fourth-seeded Russian Elena Dementieva as she lost the match 6-3, 6-2.

In other matches, former world number one Martina Hingis continued her impressive return, ousting Lindsay Davenport 6-3, 1-6 and 6-2.
