Third-place Shandong snapped Bayi's six-round winning streak by
trouncing the home team 3-1 in the seventh round of Chinese Table
Tennis Super League.
World number one Wang Liqin opened the scoring for Bayi when he
beat imported South Korean player Lee Jung-woo 11-6, 9-11, 11-6 and
11-9 in the first singles clash.
Olympic silver medalist Wang Hao scooped up wins in singles and
doubles to lead Shandong 2-1.
In the decisive third singles match, Lee Jung-woo came from
behind to beat Liu Yang 7-11, 10-12, 16-14, 11-2 and 11-8, sealing
the victory for Shandong.
Despite the loss, Bayi joins Shaanxi to share the lead in the
ten-team men's league, followed by Shandong at third.
