China's Li Na has made an impressive debut at Wimbledon,
thrashing France's Virginie Razzano 6-2, 6-0 in the first
round.
Li Na blew her opponent Razzano away with her searing ground
strokes on court 19 before securing her victory with a thumping
backhand winner on the match point.
The first Chinese player to be seeded in a grand slam singles
event, the number 27 player will face either Russian Vassilissa
Bardina or American Meilen Tu next.
Meanwhile, China's Zheng Jie booked her place in the second
round by sending Czech player Iveta Benesova off with a 7-5, 6-2
victory.
The other two Chinese players, Yan Zi and Yuan Meng, were
