The Wuxi men's table tennis team traveled to Sichuan and beat
the home side 3-1 in the China Table Tennis Super League to escape
from the relegation zone.
Olympic doubles champion Chen Qi, who was playing for Wuxi, lost
to South Korean player Joo Se Hyuk 2-3 in the first singles
match.
However, he managed to make up for it by winning the doubles
with his partner Zhan Jian.
Shan Mingjie helped Wuxi to the victory by winning two singles
matches over Wang Jianjun and Hong Kong player Zhang Yu.
In another game, defending champion Shaanxi outplayed the
runners-up of last season, Shandong, 3-1 to snap their losing
