Ratomir Dujkovic will have to focus on improving the Chinese
Olympic football team's offensive capability after the team was
held to a goalless draw with a French amateur team.
China took an early command in Wednesday's game, their 6th
warm-up match in the Europe training tour. However, they failed to
score throughout the whole 90 minutes, after squandering several
chances.
Li Wei's free-kick hit the bar early on, lifting team morale.
But the French side, relying on their tight defense, managed to
repel several further attempts, most from far away.
Coach Dujkovic changed to a slightly more aggressive lineup in
the second half, but to no avail.
After the match he expressed dissatisfaction with the team's
ability to turning advantages into goals. But, he believed, the
squad will become more competitive soon.
China's next rival will be a mixed squad from the French
football powerhouse Marseilles, including players from the club's
first and second teams.
