Manchester United have finalized a pre-season tour in July that
will take them to Japan, South Korea, China and Malaysia.
The Premier League leaders will start the journey in Tokyo's
suburbs, playing against Urawa Red Diamonds on July 17 at Saitama
Stadium. They will then travel to the South Korean capital to face
FC Seoul three days later before moving to China for a Shenzhen
clash at Macao Stadium on July 23. The tour will end in Kuala
Lumpur on July 27 with United against a Malaysian XI at the Bukit
Jalil Stadium.
"The club has a large and very loyal fan base in the region and
the players always enjoy their trips to see them and play in front
of their passionate support. Everyone is looking forward to it,"
Chief executive David Gill told United's Web site
(www.manutd.com).
The Reds had their previous Asian tour in 2005, when they
traveled to Hong Kong, Beijing and Tokyo and benefited from huge
financial return.
