A charity auction will be held on August 4 in Beijing, with items donated by stars from Spanish football powerhouse Barcelona will be put under the hammer, the Jinghua Times reported on Tuesday.

Some 20 items will be auctioned including Argentine prodigy player Messi's boots and Brazil talent footballer Ronaldinho's hair band.

All the proceeds will be donated to help disabled children and students who are drop-outs from school in the poverty-stricken areas in western China.
