China is to send top table tennis players to the Asian table tennis championships scheduled to take place on Sept. 17-23 in the eastern Chinese city of Yangzhou.

The five-member men's team includes Olympic doubles champions Ma Lin and Chen Qi, Olympic singles silver medalist Wang Hao and upstarts Hao Shuai and Ma Long.

The women's team comprises 2004 Olympic champion Zhang Yining, 2000 gold medalist Wang Nan, world champion Guo Yue, world runner-up Li Xiaoxia and World Cup winner Guo Yan.

The Asian championships is expected to draw over 30 countries and regions.
