Changchun wins CSL title

Uprising Changchun Yatai claimed the Chinese Super League (CSL)title on Wednesday, stunning the soccer arena by only cruising their second season in China's top professional league.

Crushing hosts Shenzhen 4-1 in their last game for the 2007 season Wednesday tonight, Changchun became the fifth team to lift the top-level trophy in China. The other four were Dalian Shide, Shanghai Shenhua, Shandong Luneng and Shenzhen, the four traditional powerhouses in China.

Changchun Yatai, coached by former ace striker Gao Hongbo, collected 55 points with 16 wins, seven ties and five losses for the crown, one point ahead of runners-up Beijing Guo'an.
