Brazilian swimmer Filipe Silva made a splash in the pool of the
swimming World Cup in Belo Horizonte, Brazil on Sunday as he took
the gold medal in the 100 meters butterfly.
The Brazilian swimmer, who finished the best time in the
preliminary heats, claimed the gold medal at 51.45 seconds.
South African Lyndon Ferns came in second with a time of 51.76
seconds, and world record holder Kaio Marcio finished in third,
0.06 seconds behind the South African.
Ferns also collected a gold medal on Saturday, winning the 50
meters butterfly.
