Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb has been voted Belarus' player
of the year for the fifth time in the last six years.
In a nationwide poll of the country's soccer experts, conducted
by the sports daily Pressbol, Hleb ranked ahead of FK Moscow
goalkeeper Yuri Zhevnov and Gomel striker Roman Vasilyuk.
Hleb, 26, also won the honor in 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006 and
finished second in 2004.
