Soccer sage returns to China
Adjust font size:

Serbian veteran Slobodan Santrac will return to the Chinese football league seven years after leading Shandong Luneng to the championships in both the league match and the FA Cup competitions.

Santrac will now take the reins for Chinese Super League's Changsha Jinde who beat another Super League's Qingdao Zhongneng for the deal.

The club will offer Santrac a one-year contract, Web site sina.com reported. Santrac, now a technical official with the Serbian Football Association, is expected to sign the deal on Saturday.

Jinde's former manager, Milan Zivadinovic, terminated the contract with the club at the end of last season for health reasons.

Santrac proved his skill soon after arriving in China in 1999, steering the Shandong side to the dual thrones in one season, an unprecedented result for a Chinese domestic team.
