Wang's performance culminated in the final when she crushed number six Wang Yue Gu of Singapore 3-0, while Li was left on the bench after China's quarterfinal clash with Romania.
"To survive in the Chinese team, you must live with pressure," Wang told reporters. She added that she adapted well to the Guangzhou championships and was not nervous because she was "more experienced (than others)."
"My goal is to take part in the Beijing Olympics and to win a gold medal," she said.
Analysts say China is likely to field its three top-ranked men players -- including Wang Hao, Ma Lin and Wang Liqin -- in the Beijing Olympics, along with women players Zhang Yining, Guo Yue and Wang Nan.
But the name list would be subject to possible changes before this June, according to the country's sports authorities.
