Thai tennis star Paradorn Srichaphan has been called up for the country's Davis Cup squad, which will mark his first appearance on court in 14 months, local media reported on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old, formerly ranked world number nine, has been sidelined by a persistent wrist injury but is expected to return to face Australia in next month's Asia/Oceania second round tie.

Paradorn, whose career has been dogged by injuries, has said he will attempt one more comeback before retiring.
