Flamengo wins and gets back on track in Brasil's soccer

Flamengo tied Santos 2-2 for their second positive result in a row on Sunday, winning a well needed point in this year's Brasil soccer championship.

Goalkeeper of Flamengo, Bruno, is looking forward to a new evolution of the team in hopes of ending up in the top four teams of the tournament in order to qualify for next year's Libertadores Cup.

In the 20th round of the first division, Leandro Moura scored both goals for Flamengo.

"It truly is difficult to face Santos in their stadium in front of their home crowd. However, Flamengo played very well. Even with one less player on the field (after Cristian was expelled from the game), we played well. We deserve today's tie, but we are well aware that we need to improve on the field. We still have a long way to go," said Bruno.

With Sunday's tie, Flamengo stands in seventh place in this year's tournament with 32 points, two points below their home town rival Botafogo who is in fourth place.

In the next round of the tournament, Flamengo will host tournament leader Gremio on Wednesday night.
