Bayern Munich's French international Franck Ribery was selected as the best player in the German Bundesliga last season, said a poll released on Tuesday.

Ribery won 37.3 per cent of the votes to win ahead of his Bayern Munich teammate Luci Toni, said the poll, which was conducted among professional players's union VDV.

The Italy striker garnering 19.3 per cent. Brazil and Werder Bremen playmaker Diego came third with 7.1 per cent after winning the poll in 2007.
