Top 10 antique markets in China
Zhengzhou Curio City [henanshoucang.com]

This is one of the major ancient curio cities in China. There are over 800 shops, employing more than 1,500 people. Along its labyrinthine aisles sit a vast diversity of cultural and art objects, some dating back decades or even centuries.

The city divided into four levels: the first floor is the main business area for jade and wood crafts; the second floor sells miscellaneous antique pieces; on the third floor, you will find calligraphy and painting works. Every weekend, a large number of cultural relic vendors come here to trade. There is no lack of high-quality curios among them.

Business is conducted in shops on weekdays but an open market is available to street vendors on weekends. These sellers often have valuable pieces among the old and antiquated items which they collected when they made their rounds all over the province, treasures which are now attracting antique dealers from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other places far and wide. Thus, it gains a reputation as "the wholesale market" of the Chinese antique industry.
