Zhang Zhirong's fortune increased sharply this year in connection with the successful Hong Kong listing of his shipbuilding company China Rongsheng Heavy Industries, which raised $1.8 billion in November. Zhang once worked in the construction materials trade and construction sub-contracting. His first real estate development project was Sunshine Greenland in Shanghai in 1996.
