According to a monthly survey by China Index Academy, which tracks changes in home prices in 100 Chinese cities, the average price of residential homes in April is 8,773 yuan (US$1,350) per square meter, up 0.4 percent than in March.
Among the 100 cities surveyed, Shenzhen topped the list with the highest home prices at 25,398 yuan (US$3,909) per square meter in April, followed by Shanghai at 23,662 yuan (US$3,642), Beijing at 22,862 yuan (US$3,518).
