Founded in 1919, the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is a public research university located in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. The university consists of two campuses: north campus and south campus. The north campus is the center of the original university and is well known for its Renaissance architecture style buildings, such as Powell Library, which is known as one of the best featured sites in Hollywood films. The center of the north campus is the Dixon Square, which is surrounded by oaks. This square is also featured in many films too. While the south campus is completely different, more noted for modern architectures.
