Sichuan Province's GDP exceeded 1 trillion yuan (US$131.51 billion) for the first time in 2007, and then doubled in only 4 years to hit 2.1 trillion yuan (US$325.14 billion) in 2011. Its GDP growth rate was 15 percent, the highest among the top 10 provincial regions. Its GDP per capita rose from 21,182 yuan (US$3,129) in 2010 to 26,120 yuan (US$4,044) in 2011. In 2011, Sichuan posted 17,899 yuan (US$2,771) in per capita disposable income of urban households and 6,129 yuan (US$949) in per capita net income of rural households and 6,129 yuan (US$949) in per capita net income of rural households, an increase of 15.8 percent and 20.5 percent respectively. Sichuan's GDP in 2011 was close to that of Iran in 2010 at US$331.02 billion.
