The Maybach name comes from engineer Wilhelm Maybach, who designed the engines of the first Mercedes models. The Maybach 57 and 62 were the first automobile models of the brand, which are derived from the Benz Maybach concept car presented at the 1997 Tokyo Motor Show. At the 2006 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, Maybach gave their most powerful chauffeur-driven saloon --62S. At 6.2 meters long, the model is driven by a 12-cylinder, 630 HP engine, rocketing the three-ton luxo-barge to 100 kilometers an hour in just five seconds, and hitting a top speed of 250 kilometers an hour.
