The institute is one of 67 Confucius Institutes in the U.S., and nearly 400 worldwide, providing professional and exciting cultural and language training for the public. Thanks to the Institute’s efforts, the number of students in 2011 has doubled compared with that of 2008. Four out of the twelve Confucius classrooms adopt the teaching method "Immersion”, which indulges students in a Chinese language environment when they are in school. After using this method, it saw a 100 percent pass rate for level 3 of the Youth Chinese Test in 2011.
