The Wuhan Greenland Center being built by the Greenland Group will not be the highest building in the world, but the investment on its construction is much more than the Burj Khalifa Tower's US$1.5 billion and Taipei 101's 12.8 billion yuan (US$2.02 billion).

Designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, the Wuhan Greenland Center is going to be the world's 4th tallest building. It will reach a height of 606 meters with 119 floors. This tower is an elegantly tapered structure featuring softly rounded corners and a domed top designed to reduce wind resistance and vortex action that builds up around super tall towers. It also aims to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.
