Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Arizona
Located in Tucson, Arizona, it consists of a museum and two miles of footpaths which stretch across 21 acres of beautiful desert. It is a museum and zoo that boasts more than 12,000 animals from more than 300 species, including mountain lions, prairie dogs, cougars and the Colorado River Toad, and 1,200 plant species, the majority of which live in the Sonoran Desert. More than 500,000 visitors come here every year, making it one of the most visited attractions in Tucson.
