Lomé is Togo's capital and largest city, but for travelers, it is "just a port stop" along the African coast. The voodoo market in the city center sells the ingredients which traditional healers say can make magic charms. It's an interesting place, but a little scary. Animal bodies are piled up in the street. One reader said that the city is "great for people watching on a day excursion," but "don't stay there or eat there."But there are also people who would like to go back for a second visit, "I am sure there are better parts and may be next time we can see them," one reader said.
