Entamoeba histolytica

Entamoeba histolytica is an anaerobic parasitic protozoan, part of the genus Entamoeba. It habitats in the colon and cecum and can lead to amoebic dysentery or amoebic colitis. It can live in other organs in a certain condition and cause amoebic liver abscesses. Unlike plasmodium, it can cause the death of human more easily than other protozoan.
