The 2014 FIFA World Cup is in full swing. A total of 32 nations are competing in the games being held in 12 Brazilian host cities during the qualifying stage. The tournament features the best national teams and many of the best footballers in the world.

These top athletes are handsomely paid, and their wealth ranges from US $50 million to US $230 million. Although England didn't perform well in this tournament, it has the most players on the list. Brazil, the tournament's host country, failed to place a player in the top 10 richest.
