The Internet Society of China and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the list of the “Top 100 Internet Corporations in China 2015” on July 15.
Initiated in 2013, the list assesses the scale, social influence, development potential and social responsibility level of Internet corporations. The appraisal indices include financial aspects like income, profit and human capital, as well as business ones like internet flow and number of active users.
The statistics show that the business income of the top 100 Internet corporations in China totaled 573.5 billion yuan in 2014, accounting for 20.5 percent of China’s information consumption volume. A total of 71 corporations among the top 100 are listed entities.
