Top 10 universities on Chinese mainland 2016

A latest ranking of the best universities on the Chinese mainland has been released by zuihaodaxue.com, a website specializing in this service.

The list ranks the top 310 universities among all the 1,216 universities (published by the Education Ministry on May 21, 2015) which include 793 public universities, 140 private universities and 283 independent institutes.

As expected, Tisnghua University took the crown, followed by Peking University. Zhejiang University ranked the third.

The rankings are based on three criteria: personnel training, scientific research and social contribution, accounting for 45 percent, 40 percent, 15 percent respectively.
