Zu Yue Temple

On the cliff behind the Zu Yue Temple, 4 Chinese characters are carved into the stone, explaining the dominant position that Zu Yue possesses. The characters were inscribed by an officer during the Ming dynasty. 4 other Chinese characters were also inscribed into the stone but have since eroded. On the west gate next to an ancient pine tree, stone stele stand upright featuring the Emperor's inscription. [Photo: Sina.com]
