Xi'an

Xi'an in Northwest China's Shaanxi province began to offer 72-hour visa-free entry for international transit passengers on June 1, 2014.

Xi'an, well-known as the hometown of the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC) Terracotta Warriors, is a popular choice among inbound and outbound visitors.

Xi'an was the first city in Northwest China, and the eighth in the country, approved to implement such a policy.
