Editor's note:
Each of the four seasons on Mount Huangshan has its own beauty and therefore tourists can go there whenever they are in the mood, without worrying whether it is the right time to visit.
To see Mount Huangshan in winter is a special experience tourists will not likely get from other winter attractions. Snow is an eternal theme of Mount Huangshan in winter, when the peaks, the oddly-shaped rocks, and the trees are all covered in a white blanket. Tourists will feel like they are traveling in a silver fairyland. Another natural wonder unique to winter in Mount Huangshan is frost. When fog or drizzle comes to the mountain in the sub-zero weather, the trees, the rocks, peaks will be covered with the frost, and tourists may find themselves in a crystal and shiny wonderland with clusters of frosty corals suffused with a plentiful supply of fresh air. Winter is also the best season to appreciate the sea of clouds in Mount Huangshan. After snow or rain, the boundless sea of clouds often can be seen. Also, in winter tourists will have more opportunities to see spectacular sunrises than in the other season as the clouds in winter are lower and rain is a rarity.
