Located 7 km to the east of Ya'an City, Sichuan province, Gao Yi Tomb Towers and Stone Sculptures (高颐墓阙及石刻), built in the 14th year of Jian'an reign (209) in the Eastern Han Dynasty, are the best preserved and most striking of all of Sichuan Province's remaining stone towers.
Today, the tomb tower in the east is 13 meters from the western tower. The right tower (west) is more completely preserved than the left one, and stands 5.99 meters high, featuring delicate carvings around the body, including people, horses, carriages, birds and animals.
In addition, a stele stands between two towers. The head of the stele is semi-circular, onto which a curled-up dragon has been carved. The pedestal of the stele is square, onto which two dragons have been carved. The dragons face each other and their tails are intertwined.
