Located to the northwest of Xi'an City, Western Han Dynasty's Chang'an City (汉长安城遗址) is the largest and best preserved capital site in China. The site covers an area of 65 square kilometers, including scenic spots such as Jianzhang Palace, which was the cultural, economic and political center of the Western Han Dynasty.
The city wall is 8 meters tall and 16 meters wide. The east, south, west and north walls are 5940 meters, 6250 meters, 4550 meters and 5950 meters long, respectively. Chang'le Palace, Weiyang Palace and Jianzhang Palace represent the highest concentration of group palaces within the city.
