A senior official of Expo Bureau delivered an Expo lecture to more than 300 senior officials of North China's Shanxi Province on Thursday in the provincial capital Taiyuan City.

Huang Yaocheng, counselor for national participation with the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, used pictures to introduce the history of World Expo, Expo's philosophies and goals a well as highlights of Expo 2010 and insights that Expo 2010 would bring to people.

Expo 2010 will feature various performances and diversified pavilions, Huang said.

Huang said he looked forward to seeing Shanxi showcasing itself on the stage of Expo 2010.

The province was one of the cradles of Chinese civilization and Shanxi's Fenjiu alcohol won gold prize in the 1915 Expo so the province should "dig" deep in its culture heritages to better promote itself to more people, Huang added.

In the end of the lecture, Huang also invited audiences and other Shanxi people to visit Expo 2010 in Shanghai.

The lecture was a part of the Shanxi Expo promotion week.
