The Cuban Chamber of Commerce (CCC) announced on Wednesday that it will promote the export of Cuban goods and services at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.
The president of the CCC, Pedro Alvarez, said the institute will open an official stand for the island nation at that international event, which will be held in Shanghai, China, from May 1 to October 31.
"We also take this opportunity to raise awareness of business opportunities and investments in Cuba," Alvarez said.
The slogan and main theme of the exhibition in Shanghai is "Better City, Better Life." More than 230 countries will participate in the expo.
Seventy million visitors are expected to appreciate China's current economic and technological development.
