Suite from Norway Pavilion brightens Expo nights

Now, after you tire yourself out learning a new craft, you can head over to the the Norway Pavilion for a relaxing evening. Every night at 7, Norway presents a specially-commissioned orchestral suite composed by Rolf Lovland of the acclaimed neo-classical duo Secret Garden. More than 100 TV screens, 400 spotlights, and numerous hidden speakers bring visitors a surreal experience of nature, the Northern Lights, and Scandinavian life.
It seems that Fionnuala Sherry, the violinist from Secret Garden, is playing right in front of you. She's actually performing on 100 screens as part of a multimedia show for thousands of visitors every night. Like the Norway Pavilion itself, the orchestral suite is inspired by nature.
Petter Skavlan, Artistic Director of the Norway Pavilion, said, "Both Chinese and Norwegian music are based on nature ..."
Traditional Chinese Erhu music is transformed, through the hands of Ma Xiaohui, into a way to speak with the world. The musician collaborated with Secret Garden on the 15-minute suite. She believes Erhu music can touch people's hearts, just like the serene and spiritual sounds of her Norwegian partners.
Zhang Nini, CCTV Reporter, said, "The multimedia show is offering up a journey through the scenic landscape of Northern Europe. By interconnecting music, nature, and technology, the Norway Pavilion is providing visitors an experience of a lifetime."
