Yantai Day held
Yantai Day was held in the Expo Garden on Saturday, during which the city's specialty Yantai Zhangyu Wine - one of the four gold medals won at the 1915 San Francisco Expo - was exhibited.
Other Yantai specialties, such as Yantai apples and cherries, were also displayed. The Yantai government will hold the 4th Yantai International Wine Festival, the 11th International Fruit and Vegetable Festival, and the 4th International Chinese Food Festival from Sept 23 to 30 at the Expo Garden.
Henan Week begins
Henan Week at the Expo 2010 Shanghai begins on Tuesday with an opening ceremony at the Baosteel Stage in the Expo Garden. With the theme "Central Plain Expressions, Charming Henan", organizers at the Henan Pavilion have prepared more than 40 local performances for visitors during the week-long celebrations.
Korean wedding
The Republic of Korea Business Pavilion will host a Korean-style wedding for couples on Aug 16, Chinese Valentine's Day. More than 20 applications were received in less than two days. Only marriages between Chinese and Korean citizens will be accepted for this special wedding.
