Lithuanian pavilion to be visited by European Commissioner

On the 1st of September, Lithuanian pavilion in global exhibition "Expo" will be visited by European Union Commissioner Algirdas Semeta. Reputable guest will visit Lithuanian pavilion at 3.40pm. The pavilion is situated in Zone C 07, between Russia, Croatia and Luxembourg pavilions.
After seeing Lithuanian pavilion, A. Semeta would officially open basketball tournament "EXPO Basket" which is also organized by Lithuanian pavilion. Tournament will last until September 28. There going to participate 66 teams. Tournament opening will be held near Join Central and South America pavilion, in Zone C8.
European Commissioner, who is responsible for taxes, customs union and audit have already visited Hong Kong and Macao where together with high-ranking China officers have discussed how to reinforce European Union and China regions' collaboration in taxes and customs field. In Shanghai reputable guest was solving Chinese cigarettes smuggling problems.
Before becoming European Commissioner A. Semeta was Lithuania's Minister of Finance. At the moment European Commission constitute of 27 members – one from each member state.
