Iconic Shanghai landmarks are being illuminated by Swiss artist Gerry Hofstetter to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and China.
The Swiss Night of Color brings Hofstetter's light palette to Shanghai for the first time.
Shanghai's monumental Lupu Bridge acted as a black canvas for Hofsetter on Monday night. The artist projected images of the two national flags, the figure "60" and the Chinese characters for "China Switzerland Friendship."
The images flooded the bridge with color and movement, turning it into a piece of art.
On Tuesday night, Hofstetter worked with a much larger canvas, illuminating the Peace Hotel and other buildings along the Bund.
