The Bremen Pavilion at the Urban Best Practices Area on October 10 celebrated its special day with music from the European Choir Academy.

Jens Bohrnsen, mayor of the German city of Bremen, attended the ceremony. He led a delegation comprising about 60 officials from political, economic and academic circles.

The delegation toured the pavilion and posed with a replica of the Bremen Town Musicians statue. "Die Stadtmusikanten" (Town Musicians), a bronze sculpture by Gerhard Marcks, is the German city's symbol. It portrays the donkey, dog, cat and rooster, all characters in the Brothers Grimm fairy tale The Town Musicians of Bremen.

The Bremen Pavilion showcases urban mobility solutions and climate change research. Its design was inspired by traditional Chinese paper-cutting patterns.
