In the Northwest China city of Xi'an, Yanta Street has been turned into an art avenue where a number of sculptures have been set up.

On Tuesday, the opening ceremony attracted quite a crowd. Marveling at the incredible sculptures and artwork displayed along the street, the spectators had much praise for the project.

Also available are demonstrations on how art pieces are created and performances of music and dance.

According to the local government, the Yanta Art Avenue will be developed into a permanent art zone for the city. In the near future, a number of studios and artwork dealers will be set up on the street.
