This picture taken on June 25 shows the vast grassland of Bayinbuluke, a national nature reserve in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The Bayinbuluke grassland is the biggest highland grass plain in China. In recent years, the Chinese government invested 150 million yuan to preserve the area from being destroyed by local herdsmen who used it for pasture. The resulting system of rotational grazing has largely improved the quality of the grassland. [Photo:Xinhuanet]
