A wonderful landscape of coagulated mud columns in Qian'an County, northeast China's Jilin Province, span 15 kilometers from south to north and cover an area of 58 square kilometers. They join together like a mud forest stretching across the mountains. Their different shapes create a mud wave of peaks and valleys.
The Qian'an mud forest attracts many tourists because of its unique geographical scenery. As a provincial geographical park, it is under the state's protection.
