5. Guiyang Gaopo
Situated at the Bouyei ethnic minority inhabitats of southwest Guizhou Province at an average elevation of 1,500 meters, Gaopo can be called a huge natural bonsai since it features canyons, stone forests, multilevel waterfalls, a splendid rice-field terrace as well as vast grain fields and grasslands.
With two or three stories Miao ethnic buildings can be easily spotted among the winding bamboo forests, while the renowned golden terrace is like a sea of rice paddies.
