News from the Guizhou Qiannan's tourism promotion meeting in Shenzhen is that the Shenzhen-Libo tour route will be launched from August 1, 2008.

The new service will be launched by Shenzhen Baoan International Airport and China Southern Airlines, and Shenzhen Airport International Travel Service Company Limited will be responsible for its operation. Every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, the flight will start from Shenzhen at 18:00, and the return flight departs from Libo at 20:00. The flying time of a single flight is about 80 minutes.

The Libo Airport is located at Libo County in the south of Qiannan, which is one of major projects in Guizhou. Construction commenced in March 2003 with a total investment of about 400 million yuan. This June, Qiannan government signed a management contract with Shenzhen Baoan International Airport. According to the contract, Shenzhen Baoan International Airport is committed to the management and operation of Libo Airport for 50 years.
