Lushan Mountain, a famous scenic spot in central China's Jiangxi province, will open for free to police officers on September 1, Xinhua News Agency reports.

The local Public Security Bureau designated September 1st as "Lushan Police Officer Day" in 2006 to give officers nationwide a chance to enjoy the mountain's beautiful scenery.

Police officers and their spouses can visit Lushan Mountain for free from 6a.m. to 12p.m., provided they bring their identity cards.
