American hotel brand Days Inn plans to set up an eco-friendly hotel in Yantai, Shandong province.
The new hotel will be the first hotel within the Chinese hospitality industry to have its own on-site solar power facility capable of generating up to 28.6KW per hour.
Ted Fang, president of Days Inn China, said that following its cosignatory Yantai Hua'an Group's sustainable development plan, the new hotel, which is called Days Inn China Hua'an Yantai, will adopt the state-of-the-art solar power technology.
Located on the coast of the Yellow Sea, Days Inn Hua'an Yantai features a wide array of accommodation and entertainment facilities including a cafe, lounge, Chinese and Western restaurants, and a fully-equipped gym.
