A representative of the Beijing Tourism Administration has told local media that BTA will use this season's Spanish Primera football matches as a marketing platform to promote the city of Beijing.
This is said to be a new measure that BTA is taking to attract overseas tourists and expand its inbound tourism market.
It is reported that BTA will take advantage of the football match between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona to promote Beijing's tourism resources and travel agency products by making use of on-site media as well as local television, newspapers, and Internet service providers. In addition, it will cooperate with famous European football clubs to enhance Beijing's image in Europe as a tourist destination.
